Matt Elsass

VP of Operations and Columbus Branch Manager

Matt Elsass is the VP of Operations and Branch Manager for R2’s Columbus office.  A fair and honest method of business is what you will find with Matt. He aims to treat everyone he meets with integrity and respect. Matt fills his role as Branch Manager by overseeing all operations, as well as managing and training his employees to achieve branch growth.  He is also active in all customer service related matters and new sales.

Matt joined R2 in October of 2008 for the sole purpose of filling the role as Columbus Branch Manager. Previous to filling this position, he worked for a globally leading third party logistics firm. With a position in Transportation Sales, he gained an expert’s knowledge in the 3PL industry.  As an account executive, it was Matt’s role to collaborate with carriers to move shipments, handle customer service relations, and take part in rating and pricing negotiations.

Heralded for his superior management skills, Matt has the unique ability to hire the right people and get the most out of them that he possibly can.  He not only pushes himself for customer retention, but for employee retention as well.  Matt studied at The Ohio State University where he majored in Construction Systems Management and minored in City and Regional Planning. Currently, he is a member of the Ohio Trucking Safety Council.  Matt is a great team player, not afraid to get his hands dirty, who goes above and beyond his call of duty.
